[Achievement] Heroic: Magister's Terrace, Outland Dungeon Hero

There are quite a few old world achievements that I've been missing. Some I did at 60 and 70, but from lack of loot and completed quests, I never got any credit for them when the Achievement system was implemented. Others I've just been too lazy to do. Yesterday some of my guildies dragged me into some heroic Outland dungeons, namely the Shadow Labyrinth and the Steamvault. What struck me, was how dead easy they were. I've been avoiding these Outland heroics for quite some time, because I was under the false impression that I would have to have a group, or at least a healer with me to succeed. I was wrong.

In January I went through quite the ordeal in order to clear the normal mode of Magister's Terrace to get my Outland Dungeonmaster Achievement completed. After that I figured I was nowhere near being ready for soloing the Heroic versions of the Outland dungeons, and especially not Magister's Terrace. Now however, my gear seemed to be up to the challenge.

I must admit I wiped a few times on the group of bosses before Kael, until I learned the natural order of things; Nuke them according to health. Start with the lowest, and work your way up. Then came Kael'thas Sunstrider. I started working on him in bear form, kept it clean, defensive, and my health all topped up. His Phoenix came out, I got rid of it, and took out the egg as well. Then suddenly he starts casting his Pyroblast..... Mhm, you guessed it; I had NEVER been to the Heroic version of Magister's Terrace before. It completely took me by surprise. I attempted to interrupt, but I found out the hard way that as long as his 10k shield is up, he can't be interrupted. So I went in again a few times and tried to save my various mini-cooldowns to nuke away his 10k sized shield AND interrupt his Pyroblast before the 4 seconds ran out. I failed miserably. So finally I decided to visit WowWiki...

...and there was nothing there I didn't know. Except one thing. That he wouldn't do his Pyroblast if I could managed to nuke him down below 50% before one minute of the fight had passed. And that became the key. It was a close run, since my cat form is more than a little squishy. So in the end I went with my DPS gear, but equipped both of my trusted Brewfest Trinkets. And before I prowled in, I loaded myself up with HoTs. That gave me just the window I needed to survive while bringing him down below 50%. And voila, he summoned his floating orbs, and I started skydiving around the room, while healing myself up. The rest was just rinse and repeat until he was dead.

And of course I got the mount.
