So I've started working on this UI, which is extremely inspired by well known minimalistic UI's as the impressive TukUI and many others. In design it varies little from other similar ones, it's the framework that's the big difference. Like TukUI, and to a certain degreen SpartanUI, most of the code is embedded into the main addon, meaning you won't have to relate to 1 gazillion different addons and their respective settings. It's all in the addon called gUI. It WILL feature an in-game options menu to tweak the settings to your liking, the ability to use global or per character settings, as well as slash commands to change layouts, or use the recommended layout(s) for your resolution. And yes, this will allow you to macro the layouts, and even keybind them.
Like TukUI, it will feature dynamic raid frames, adjusting themselves to any given raid size in terms of layout. Unlike TukUI, there won't be separate DPS and Healer raid layouts. It's more of an either or; Either they are dynamic, or they are all small, all the time.
The UI further supports pretty much all known types of frames and things, like totembar, totemtimers, runebar, vehicle frames, player, target, target of target, focus, focus target, pet, pet target, arena enemy frames, party frames, raid frames, castbars, buffs and debuffs, spellrange on all frames, swing timer for hunters, weapon buffs, etc etc etc.
Popular addons like oUF and cargBags are embedded, unchanged and the authors credited. Same goes for all other addons or code snippets I've included in this UI. The list of credits is long. Though the visual results resemble to the extreme parts of TukUI, I did not hijack Tukz' code. With the exception of oUF, cargBags, rActionBarStyler and rActionButtonStyler, caelNameplates and some others, most of the extras are written from scratch.
The whole UI takes less than 1 MB of memory, including textures and fonts. Many minor tweaks remain to be done, and It's still a work in progress. The UI won't be released for public testing until layouts have been tested in most resolutions, and the user interface panel is in place.
