Yup, it's true; I am NOT dead!
Real life has been busy lately, and the work on my UI has taken up most of my spare time. Haven't been much time for achievement-chasing, nor for blogging about it.
But now I'm back! Not as good as ever, with a dead PC, a crappy laptop as backup, and even less spare time than ever, but still back! And I finally managed to finish all the seasonal events of the game, or at least the ones that count. All I can say is What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been! As an added bonus that I actually had forgotten all about at the time, Alexstrasza the Life-Binder kindly presented me with some Reins of the Violet Proto-Drake, thus giving me yet another mount I don't use.
On a sidenote I managed to solo Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj the other day, after first having watched my girlfriend and a guildie of her's do it together. Turned out to be a lot easier than I feared. Good 'ol Ossirian hits like a kitten without his Superman buff, and I could actually ride all the way to his room without killing anything at all. Sure, I did pull some guards at a very narrow door, but that's what Shadowmeld is for, eh? And the mobs are so totally soloable for a properly geared level 80.
I always thought that AQ20, like AQ40, required you to kill the various bosses to get access to the last, but that's not true at all. Turns out they simply designed the instance in a way so that a level 60 character can't really pass anything by without aggroing it. With our much smaller aggro range at level 80 though, we can skip everything, and just go for the final one. Now I only lack AQ40 for my Classic Raider achievement, and that is one of those I can NOT solo...

Well, until the next time... hey ho, hey ho....
