Idiot of the Day

Saturday, April 28, 2012

After 7+ years of World of Warcraft, I'm neither surprised nor frustrated over stupid behavior from people anymore. I've come to accept that this is how people are, this is what it means to play an MMO. You have your friens and your guild, the "good ones", and that's all you really need. Your own warm little space in a cold cold world.

But of course, this doesn't stop the other morons from existing, and from being part of your everyday MMO life, does it? So what I have decided, is to start sharing moments of stupidity from WoW - and any other online game for that matter - with the rest of you! The moments may not all be of equal greatness, but they will all have one thing in common; people will be immortalized as an Idiot of the Day here at www.friendlydruid.com!

Rise of the Digimon Class

Thursday, April 26, 2012

MMO Champion keeps pumping out beta screenshots and datamined material as always, today they brought us pictures of the new Death Knight PvP sets. The user The Ogdru Jahad pointed out a similarity between the new set and a certain digimon. And I can't help but to agree.

This is all I can see now. And this is what I will be thinking off when I face them in combat in Mists of Pandaria. We already have a Power Ranger class (Paladins), and now we have a Digimon class!

What do you think?

GUI™ V2.0 Preview #4: Bags

Thursday, April 19, 2012

As we're getting closer to the release of gUI™ v2.0 day by day, I get more and more questions about the features that will be included. Many of those questions are about the module that people either hate or love; the bags.

While I haven't been able to include every option that every person wanted there, most of them are on my list for the future, and I did manage to squeeze in some of the more important ones. Amongst those are the ability to choose between hiding or bypassing a category of items, thus having them show in the "Main" container instead.

I hope you enjoy this preview. The real thing will be released sometime before the release of Diablo 3, which isn't that far into the future. So the word "soon" no longer applies! ;)

gUI™ V2.0 Preview #3: Actionbars

Tuesday, April 10, 2012

The UI will be far easier to configure in v2, and many options that people have been screaming about for months are now included. The ability to quickly hide and show actionbars are amongst them.

There is also a far better keybinding interface than previously, and many other new features.

gUI™ V2.0 Preview #2: Skinning

Here's a short little preview of some of the new and improved skinning of the default WoW interface in the upcoming v2 release.
